XataNet and Turnpike Implementation
XataNet Implementation
To help you get XataNet up and running quickly, we follow our expert-developed implementation process. It features 6 important phases, each with its own key milestones and review process:
- Phase 1: Project planning
- Phase 2: Data integration
- Phase 3: Software implementation
- Phase 4: Hardware installation
- Phase 5: Training
- Phase 6: Adoption and long-term success
Phase 1: Project planning
An old adage says it best: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Although you may think you don’t have time to plan, you can’t afford not to.
At XRS, we understand the importance of planning—and process—and work with you to nail down every detail, from securing sponsors to identifying roles, from kickoff to risk management.
Phase 2: Data integration
Business decisions are only as good as the data on which they’re based, which is why this step is so critical. Only by correctly combining data from different sources can you be assured of getting an accurate view of every aspect of your operations.
During this step, we also help you identify third-party interfaces, conduct application assessments and collaborate with your business partners.
Phase 3: Software implementation
This step focuses on systematically integrating XataNet into your day-to-day operations, as well as your routing, payroll and other back-office systems.
In addition to downloading software to end-user computers, during this step we also create user accounts, standardize naming conventions and establish your database hierarchy.
Phase 4: Hardware installation
Once your new software is up and running, it’s time to install your hardware. To achieve our goal of completing all installations in as little time and with as little disruption as possible, we work with a nationwide network of certified installers.
Because scheduling is so critical, especially for large fleets, our first step is to develop a detailed schedule that takes into account everything from equipment delivery to driver schedules.
Hardware installation certification
If you’d like to certify your own employees to install XataNet hardware, we provide qualified, experienced field engineers who will perform a complete vehicle installation, teaching each step of the process in detail so that your employees are fully certified immediately following the training. Phase 5: Training
Your employees are fundamental to the success of your fleet management system. We can help train your drivers and dispatchers, increasing employee acceptance and the speed at which you realize results.
With the right training, employees at every level—drivers, supervisors, line managers and regional and corporate management—understand and embrace XRS applications and understand their xatanet-related responsibilities. They can hit the ground running, increasing the speed at which you realize ROI. Learn more.
