18 Wheels of Gratitude Award & Tablet Giveaway

Right now, I’m at the Truck Driver Social Media Convention — and I can’t help but feel a tremendous sense of gratitude. I suppose it’s not too hard to feel that way when you’re surrounded by such an incredible group of passionate, committed people. Heck, this is energizing! Well, it’s because of their inspiring work and the stories we’ve heard from our XNation community that we’ve decided to launch the 18 Wheels of Gratitude Award and Tablet Giveaway — though this one comes with a twist.

See, it’s a giveaway…you’ll give away.

Who are you most grateful for?

We’re nearing the Thanksgiving holiday, so it strikes us as the perfect time to reflect on all that’s good in our lives, and the wonderful people that help make it happen.

So, tell us: Who’s support can’t you live without? Who inspires you to keep going day-in and day-out?

Your spouse?

A fellow driver?

A tireless trucking industry advocate?

Nominate the person you’re most grateful for in this season of thanksgiving, and we’ll send the 18 Wheels of Gratitude Award winner a Huawei Mediapad 7 tablet.

18 Wheels of Gratitude Award — Nominate someone

You can enter anytime between now and 10 PM CST on Sunday, November 11, 2012.

All you have to do is share your story and a photo of the person you’d like to nominate on:

1)    Our Facebook wall, or
2)    Twitter, using Twitlonger. Please use the #18Wheels2012 hashtag, so we can find your entry!

How the winner will be chosen…

On Monday, November 12, our social media team will review the entries and select the finalists.

Then, we’ll share the stories that move us most in a Facebook album—and we’ll ask you to choose the winner. Just like the Xtra Mile Award, all you have to do is read, like, and share.

At 5 PM on Wednesday, November 21, we’ll tally the “votes” and send a Huawei tablet to the 18 Wheels of Gratitude Award winner.

We all know the life of a driver requires hard work and tremendous sacrifice, and that those who do it best take a strong support system along for the ride.

So, lets celebrate the people that help you, the trucker, keep on trucking.
